National Institute of Teaching Evidence Portal
The National Institute of Teaching (NIoT) have recently launched their Evidence Portal, a free resource for school and trust leaders and those responsible for professional learning. The Evidence Portal is designed to:
- Provide free access to rigorous global evidence
- Focus specifically on professional learning
- Support evidence-informed judgement
- Bring research and practice closer together
In addition to supporting schools and leaders, the new portal can be used to support the development of facilitators and mentors; share best practice and to help design and refine professional development across the sector.

DFE Survey
As part of the statutory function of the Teaching School Hub, the DfE requires us to share a specific survey with schools. The purpose of this survey is to identify:
- Your experiences with the Hub’s services and support
- The impact of hub activities on your school or teachers
- Your views on the overall effectiveness of Teaching Schools Hub’s work in ITT/ECTP/AB/NPQ
The survey supports us in developing effective and impactful training opportunities for teachers across our areas of Halton, Warrington and Wigan.
