04 National Professional Qualifications (NPQs)

We are pleased to announce that the DfE have confirmed the cohorts and funding arrangements for NPQs in 2026/27.

For Autumn 2026, the NPQ for Headship and NPQ for SENCOs will continue to be fully funded, regardless of disadvantage criteria. Then in a positive move the NPQ for Senior Leadership will now be fully funded, regardless of disadvantage criteria and the NPQ for Early Years Leadership will also be fully funded for participants working in Early Years settings regardless of disadvantage criteria. Scholarships for all other NPQs will continue to be based on disadvantage criteria.

Registrations and applications for the Autumn 2026 cohort will open on 23 June 2026.
