National Year of Reading 2026 - summer term activity for schools and early years settings now live!

This year over 1 million children and young people have engaged in National Year of Reading events and activities.

The summer term programme will build on the work started in the spring and deepen the focus on sustaining a reading for pleasure culture in schools and settings. Activity across phases will include a rich cycle of:

• Free resources
• Free Go All In Together! events for children and young people
• Free specialised webinars
