Last call to register your new ECTs and Mentors! 

If you haven’t already, please be sure to register your new ECTs and Mentors for training with Generate Teaching Hub this week. 
Any registrations coming through during or after October half term will begin their training in January 2027. 

Brightspace 

ECTs and Mentors - Be sure to log into Brightspace and complete all of your first half term modules before you finish for the October half term if you haven’t already done so. 
Induction Tutors – You can now track your ECTs and Mentors progress via the Brightspace dashboard. Please ensure everyone is on track!

Seminar Dates

Every ECT and Mentor should now have their seminar dates for the new academic year, but if you haven’t please contact us at: hub@wpat.uk

Any registrations which have come through since the start of term are currently being processed and will be sent out shortly. Should you need any assistance with your seminar dates, please email the team at: hub@wpat.uk stating your name, school name and which programme you are currently on, e.g. Year 1 ECT, Year 2 ECT, Mentor.

DfE Emails - ECF Mentor Training – Applies to Mentors registered to train before September 2025 
 
If you have any mentors at your school who registered for training before September 2025 as part of the ECF programme with Teach First who have not completed their training, you will shortly receive a message from the DfE advising you of the closure of the programme on the 31st March 2027. 
 
If you are happy that the staff listed are trained and able to mentor ECTs, then there is no further action needed. However, if any of the mentors listed do require additional training, please let us know by Friday 13th November to allow us to work with them to provide training materials before the closure of the ECF Mentor training programme as they will not be eligible to re-train at a later date.
